Weave-it Pillow

This is the first time I tried making a weave-it pillow.
I like it but think it is a bit too big.
The next one I make will be smaller.

I made 60 squares.
30 for each side.

Sewed three edges together.
Left one side open so it could be stuffed.

Then sewed the last side.

Pillows will be given to seniors at local nursing homes.

A women's group at my church get together once a month to make
pillows, blanket for babies and seniors.

The yarn I used is Caron simply soft,
the same yarn I use for the baby blankets.

Baby Blanket

Finished the latest weave-it Baby Blanket
for the Baby Blanket Ministry at church.
A group of women from church get together once a month
and make baby blankets.
We make them at home too and meet up once a month.

Usually use Caron Simply Soft yarn but this time the yarn I used was
Herrschners Worsted baby yarn.
The two colors I used were
Fairy Princess and Pansies.

This one just may be my favorite one.
Though I have said that before.

Baby Blanket for December

The baby blanket I made this for this month is made with the same yarn I usually use which is Simply Soft by Carron.
The squares are made on a weave-it 4 inch loom and sewn together.
This is another one of my favorites.
But then I say that a lot.🙂

Christmas Ornament

At the December Baby Blanket work day we will also be having a Christmas luncheon.
We will each bring a wrapped Christmas ornament to exchange.
Instead of buying one I decided to make a cross stitch one instead.
I started it yesterday.

My idea is to make the blue angel and the green one
and put them back to back
so each side of the ornament will have a different angel.
If I don't finish in time I can always just have the one.

Baby Blanket

Finished a baby blanket made out of weave-it squares.
The yarn used was Caron Simply Soft.

Haven't made one for a couple of months because we had an over supply of them when we couldn't give them out at the hospital.
But now that we have the doctors office giving them out we are up and running again.

Scarves for Rose Bud

I've finished knitting two more scarves for the kids from church
to take on their missions trip to the Rose Bud Reservation in South Dakota.
Think they are going again in October.

This makes a total of 6 scarves.

Counted cross stitch start

I've started a counted cross stitch kit that I've had for a while now.

Kind of slow going because my eyes aren't what they were and
I can't stitch as long as I would like
but I really want to get this done in a timely manner.

Our theme this year at church is
Standing on God's Promises

So I thought this is the perfect time to do this counted cross stitch
and a perfect gift to give Pastor Leatherman and Kathy.

This is what I've have done so far.
It looks purple in the picture but it is blue.

I'm hoping if I post my progress it will give me incentive to keep at it.
