Counted Cross Stitch Ornament

Finished the counted cross stitch ornament.
I glued the two angels back to back with some foam in between
and glued in a jute hanger.
Then glued lace around the edges.
Below is the same ornament with a different angel on each side.
We are each bringing an ornament to Blankets for Babies next week
to exchange and this is the I'll be bringing.

Ornament

I have finished one of the counted cross stitch angels
and working on the second one.

There are two weeks from today left for me to turn it into a Christmas ornament.
Don't think I'll have any trouble.

Christmas Ornament

At the December Baby Blanket work day we will also be having a Christmas luncheon.
We will each bring a wrapped Christmas ornament to exchange.
Instead of buying one I decided to make a cross stitch one instead.
I started it yesterday.

My idea is to make the blue angel and the green one
and put them back to back
so each side of the ornament will have a different angel.
If I don't finish in time I can always just have the one.

Finished and Framed

My Father's Promises counted cross stitch has been framed.
Ken was going to make the frame but we already had this one sitting around and it was the perfect size.
There is glass over it and looks better in person than the photo shows.

Now just have to give it to Kathy and Pastor which I can hardly wait to do.

I have enjoyed making it but glad to be done.

Ken is going to make a frame.

Still have a ways to go but getting there.

Cross Stitch Progress

Progress on the counted cross stitch I'm working on.

My Father's Promises

I've passed the half way point now.
Slow going but enjoy doing it.

Looking at the picture I see that I've forgotten to
outline the 6 flowers on the right at the bottom.
Without the picture I don't think I would have noticed it!!

Don't think I'll have any trouble finishing it by the end of the year.

Counted cross stitch start

I've started a counted cross stitch kit that I've had for a while now.

Kind of slow going because my eyes aren't what they were and
I can't stitch as long as I would like
but I really want to get this done in a timely manner.

Our theme this year at church is
Standing on God's Promises

So I thought this is the perfect time to do this counted cross stitch
and a perfect gift to give Pastor Leatherman and Kathy.

This is what I've have done so far.
It looks purple in the picture but it is blue.

I'm hoping if I post my progress it will give me incentive to keep at it.

Framed

Three years ago I made this counted cross stitch and it's been sitting around
for 3 years waiting for a frame.
Ken made a frame out of corner molding and painted it.
I think it turned out great.

A couple of counted cross stitch pictures I made some years ago.
They hang in our office.
I have a pattern book with 16 pictures.

Hanging the laundry

This is a Counted Cross Stitch I made back in 2007.
It sits above my washing machine.
