Circle of Hearts

 This is the second one I've knitted.

Supposed to be dish/wash cloths but I'm using them as doilies.

I've put both of them on the hutch and put the

umbrella boy and girl Hummels on them.

When I took the picture didn't realize that the one had the wrong side up.

Don't know the color of the yarn but it is Peaches and Creme cotton.

Didn't follow a pattern for this one.

Just knitted a simple one on my own.

Peaches and Creme cotton yarn

Size 6 knitting needles

Cast on 37 stitches

Rows 1 - 4 Knit 

Row 5 - Knit 4, Purl 1 Knit 1, Knit the last 4 stitches.

Repeat row 5 till piece measures 8 inches 

Knit 4 rows

Bind off

Yarn is cotton peaches and creme but don't know the color name - label came off.

The pattern is supposed to be little hearts.

This was a challenge for me but so much fun to knit.
Looks more like a doily than a wash cloth.
Might try knitting it with light weight yarn and smaller needles.

The pattern

Finishing - With wrong side facing, whipstitch Row 1 and Row 159 together to form a circle.  Weave long end from cast on through center of Dishcloth and draw up tightly to close.  Secure end.

I used size 7 needles and the finished size was 8" square

Cast on 43 stitches

Row 1: (RS) Knit
Rows 2 - 7: Knit
Row 8: K7, (P1 K3) 8 times, K4
Row 9: Knit
Rows 10 and 11: Rep Rows 8 and 9 
Row 12: K5, P1, (K3, P1) 8 times, K5
Row 13: Knit

Repeat rows 8 - 13 until it measures 7 more times. (more if you want a bigger cloth) ending with a Row 8 or a Row 12

Next 7 Rows - Knit
Bind off all stitches

A couple more knitted wash/dish cloths.

 Knitted on size 6 needles using a cotton yarn called Peaches and Creme

Cast on 3 stitches
KNIT 1, add a stitch in front of next stitch then KNIT rest of row
Repeat every row till 45 stitches on needle 
Then start decreasing 
KNIT 2 KNIT 2 together, KNIT to end of row. 
Repeat every row till stitches are gone.

Cloth is a 7 1/2 inch square.  If you want a bigger cloth add more the 45 stitches before you start to decrease.

Very easy.
I love the softness of the clothes and use them for washing my face. 
Many people use them as dish cloths too.
