Knitted Sophie Scarf
With size 4 needles cast on 6 sts
Work increases every 8th row along one side
Rows 1-7 - Knit to last 3 sts on needle, slip last 3 sts as to purl
Row 8 - K2, KFB, knit to the last 3 sts on needle, slip the last 3 sts as to purl
Work these 8 rows 22 times (larger scarf 27 times)
Now there are 28 sts on needle (33)
Now work decreases every 8th row along one side
Rows 1-7 - Knit to last 3 sts on needle, slip last 3 sts as to purl
Row 8 - Knit 3, SKP, knit to last 3 sts on needle, slip as to purl
Work these 8 rows 21 times (26)
Now there are 7 sts on needle
Work rows 1 - 7 once more
Last 7 rows of scarf
Row 1 - K2, SKP, slip the last 3 sts as to purl.
There are now 6 sts
Rows 2-7 - K3, slip the last 3 sts as to purl
Bind off the first 3 sts as to knit and bind off last 3 sts as to purl
Weave in ends
KFB - Knit front and back
First knit into the front and then the back of the same stitch before dropping it from the left hand needle.
SKP - Slip 1 stitch as to knit, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
I used Lion Brand 3.5 net weight yarn
