Ken helped me make some pumpkins out of cut logs.
He cut the logs for me.
Smaller branches were cut for the stems.
They're sitting here in the ATV waiting to get cleaned up.
Stems were painted green.
The orange color is called Carrot Cake.
Don't know the name of the green stem paint.
Ken put the stems on with dry wall screws.
Finished pumpkins sitting out front.
Hopefully good for many years.
First saw them on
and decided I would try to make them.

What a neat idea!

ReplyDeleteI love how the pumpkins turned out, so creative and rustic, and I can imagine they’ll bring a cheerful autumn touch for years. Using the logs and painting them really gives them character.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteThese are soooo cute.
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, these log pumpkins turned out beautifully, what a great idea. Carrot Cake is the perfect name for that orange color, so vibrant. It's wonderful that Ken helped with the cutting and assembling, teamwork always makes a project better, doesn't it? They look so substantial and festive sitting out front. It's inspiring when you see something on another blog and then manage to create your own version, they should last for ages.
