Fishermen's Throw Shawl

This is the same pattern I used for the Fishermen's Throw

using the bulky multicolor yarn on big needles.

 I think it is so much nicer using one color so you can see the pattern.

I'm using 4 wt yarn and size 9 knitting needles.

This is 22 inches wide and so far 28 inches long.

Since it is not long enough for a shawl I'm going to knit

the pattern once more and that will make it 56 inches.

That should be long enough for a shawl.

I can always start the pattern again if it is not quite long enough.

EDIT

I decided not to make this a shawl after all.

Didn't like the pattern for a shawl.

I knitted a bit more on it and 

have it as a baby blanket.
