I knitted a hat for Karen that goes along with
the scarf from the last post using the same yarn.
Pattern called for size needles 7 and 8 but I used sizes 3 and 4 to get the size I wanted.
Pattern
With smaller needles cast on 106 stitches.
1st row - (RS) K1, *K2, P2, Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
2nd row - P1, *K2, P2, Repeat from * to last stitch, P1
Repeat these two rows for ribbing until work measures 6 inches
Change to larger needles and continue with stockinette stitch till work from the beginning measures 8 inches.

Break yarn, leaving a long end for sewing. Thread yarn through remaining 18 stitches. Draw up and fasten securely. Sew back seam, reversing half way through ribbing for turnback cuff.

I like it!
