Temperature Blanket

I'm making a Temperature Blanket this year.
Never heard of this until my friend Mikie told me about it.
She's making one this year too.

A Temperature Blanket is like journaling, but with yarn!
Each day, you record the high temperature or low if you prefer and knit two rows
in a color that corresponds to that range.
At the end of the year I'll have a colorful, one-of-a-kind blanket.

I'm getting a late start so have written down the high temperatures for each
day since January 1.

The yarn I'm using is Premier Everyday DK
number 3 which is light weight.

Yarn Colors and Ranges
1107-09 Purple - Below 25
1107-44 Thistle - 26 - 32
1107-16 Cobalt - 33 - 39
1107-34 Alaskan Blue - 40 - 46
1107-14 Teal - 47 - 53
1107-38 Porcelain Blue - 54 - 60
1107-11 Green Apple - 61 -67
1107-72 Yellow - 68 - 74
1107-40 Canary - 75 - 81
1107-57 Carrot - 82 -88
1107-06 Really Red - 89 - 95
1107-69 Cherry Red - Above 96

The whole blanket is knitted.
With Circular Knitting Needles size 6, 40" long
Cast on 242 stitches and knit the first row on the first day.
Then each day knit two rows in the high temperature of the day color.

I'm doing my blanket for the whole year, but you can do any amount of time you want.

I started on Friday and have just finished up day 16.
